ELLEN: Before I had the surgery, I was really--it was really bothersome because I'm an active person. You go on a treadmill, and you move a lot. So your glasses fall down, you can't see, and you want to operate the various numbers, you know, to change your programs. And you know, even, you know, when reading, you have to, when you wear glasses, you have to sort of move the book up and down. And if the light isn't right, you know, it was really a nuisance. But worst of all was I couldn't drive at night. My husband had a stroke some years ago and doesn't see all that well. So I was always the designated night driver. It was really bothersome. I'll tell you, sometimes I was in tears because I couldn't understand that, you know, that this would deteriorate my quality of life to that degree, to that extent. I had it done. And after, you know, first one eye and then I just couldn't wait for the second one to be done. And since then, it's been like being a new young person again, you know, with beautiful eyesight. I can see anything. I can see things that I didn't even see with my glasses, I tell you. It was amazing. So I'm so grateful, I can't tell you. I'm beaming with just pleasure from this situation. I think anything you have to do in a hospital makes you a little apprehensive that are using the same - - 'cause you know, it does make you think twice, you know, all that's going on. Now this is - - you know that the people here are experts. This is what they know to do. This is their specialty. So that made me feel very good about that as well.
