Elin Saxby - Cataract Surgery Patient

Description

Elin knew something needed to be done about her eyes, although the thought of cataract surgery made her nervous. Serving Leesburg, Eustis, and Clermont patients, Dr. Fishman worked carefully with her until she felt comfortable enough to proceed. Now, Elin is thrilled with her enhanced vision. Her only regret is not seeking the procedure sooner!

MS. ELIN SAXBY: The reason I decided to have the cataract surgery is my vision was getting really bad. And I knew something had to be done. I was petrified, petrified. And I mean I had everything ready in my will; everything was all set just in case. Dr. Fishman tried to calm me 'cause I told him I was scared. And so he says, "Well there isn't going to be any problem." He says, "You won't even realize you're in and out." He says, "It only takes a few minutes; 15 minutes, you're done." I'm thinking, yeah, right. I didn't believe him. Before the cataract surgery, I had a problem seeing because of the double vision. And everything was awful. I mean, I had a really bad time, hard to see to drive. It was hard to read. To watch TV, there was two of them, and it was really uncomfortable. And slowly, it got better. And then I had the cataract surgery. And wow. Not only can I see, it's clear. That's the amazing part. Everything is more vivid colors. I am delighted. I wish I could have done it years ago. The whole experience only took ten, 15 minutes max. It was great. I didn't realize I said it, but when I got done, I said, "Are you done?" He goes, "Yeah." I said, "Wow. I can't believe it." So it was awesome. It was very quick, no pain or anything. So it was wonderful.
