DR. MICHAEL P. PENNACHIO: The nice thing about having our own surgery center is it's dedicated for our eyes. All we do is eye surgery here. DR. CRAIG D. FISHMAN: The surgery center is a tremendous benefit to both us and the patients. When you do surgery here, the only thing we do here is eye surgery. You don’t have to think that the patient that had surgery before you just had a leg amputated or just had colon surgery. I mean, it's--and I think for that reason, we have very few infections here. I mean, I would say, you know, if you look at the national average, we're above that. And I think a big part of that is that we only do eye surgery here, which is a clean procedure. Our nurses are specialized in just eye surgery. I think we're a very well-oiled machine. I think everything is--runs very efficiently in the operating room, but no one feels rushed. So I think it's a tremendous benefit. The patient experience, when we used to do surgery at the hospital, it would probably be at least a half day affair, by the time they would get in, go through check in, you know, had the drops administered and, you know, wait for the operating room to be finished. Now, you know, a patient is in and out of here in about an hour and a half. And again, they don't feel rushed because the staff knows what they're doing. This is all we do. And I think it's a great experience for everyone.
