Michael P. Pennachio, M.D. - Total Eye Care Center

Michael P. Pennachio, M.D., earned his medical degree at the University of South Florida and completed his ophthalmology residency at Tulane University. Dr. Pennachio is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons; he is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Pennachio specializes in laser, cataract, and implant surgery.

Dr. Pennachio founded the first Total Eye Care Center location in Eustis in 1985. He soon after expanded the practice to Clermont and then Leesburg with the help of our other doctors, all to provide more convenient care throughout the community. Dr. Pennachio works tirelessly to keep our practice abreast of the latest treatments and technology: "We look forward to a bright future of providing our families the most advanced eye care with a hometown touch."

Craig D. Fishman, M.D. - Total Eye Care Center

Craig D. Fishman, M.D., received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University. After earning his medical degree at New York University, Dr. Fishman completed his ophthalmology residency at Emory University, where he was chief resident. The board-certified doctor is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

Dr. Fishman performs cataract and glaucoma surgeries, laser treatment, and eyelid plastic surgery. Patients appreciate his support and compassion, which stems from a family history. The ophthalmologist confides: “My grandfather went blind from glaucoma and my grandmother had macular degeneration.”

Jeffrey A. Sheridan, M.D. - Total Eye Care Center

Jeffrey A. Sheridan, M.D., is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an active fellow with the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He served as a general ophthalmologist with the United States Air Force before joining Total Eye Care Center.

Dr. Sheridan attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, completed his internship at the University of Hawaii, and finished his residency at Emory University, Department of Ophthalmology. A board-certified ophthalmologist, he specializes in cataract surgery and glaucoma treatment. He also performs eyelid surgery for facial rejuvenation and does the majority of the eyelid reconstruction operations for our patients who have had skin cancer.

Like all of our eye doctors, Dr. Sheridan is readily available for patients in Leesburg, Eustis, and Clermont. Read our summer 2008 newsletter to learn of his missionary trip to treat a village in Mozambique, Africa.

Sonya M. Braudway, O.D. - Total Eye Care Center

Sonya M. Braudway, O.D., is a board-certified optometric physician who specializes in low-vision rehabilitation. After graduating from the University of Houston, College of Optometry, Dr. Braudway completed a clinical fellowship in low vision at Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Optometrists and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.

The only low vision specialist in Lake County, Dr. Braudway is an invaluable resource for our patients who routinely trust her for help in coping with loss of sight that cannot be conventionally treated.
